eBay Auction for PLATO Terminal
2 March 2003 -- What appears to be a CDC IST-II PLATO terminal, or perhaps it's an IST-III, is currently
listed on eBay for sale
by auction. Starting price is $50, which in my opinion is about $45 too high, considering how little use the terminal has. As Indiana Jones might say, "it belongs in a museum." Especially since
neither the Computer History Museum or the Computer Museum of America have anything like this. (Try it some time: go to either museum, walk up to a docent, and ask to see the exhibits on
PLATO. "Exhibits on what?" the docent will ask...)
